TOLKIEN RELEASES SECOND POSTHUMOUS PUBLICATION
A new book by THE LORD OF THE RINGS author J.R.R. TOLKIEN will be released next month (APR07) to the delight of the writer’s legions of fans worldwide.
THE CHILDREN OF HURIN - which will be Tolkien’s second posthumous release after 1977’s THE SILMARILLION - was left unfinished by the legendary writer, but after 30 years, has been completed by his son CHRISTOPHER.
The novel will also feature art by ALAN LEE, who won an Academy Award for his Art Direction on PETER JACKSON’s LORD OF THE RINGS: THE RETURN OF THE KING in 2004.
Although plot details have been kept tightly under wraps, a spokesperson for publisher HarperCollins says, "It’s an epic story of adventure, tragedy, fellowship and heroism."
