Britain’s Princess Eugenie has dubbed her grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, ‘Super Gran’ on her MySpace page.
The princess - who celebrated her 17th birthday on Friday (23.03.07) with a party at London’s Firehouse nightclub - has written about her life as a young royal on her personal webpage on internet community website MySpace.com, which can be viewed by anyone with internet access.
Eugenie lists her heroes as: ‘My grandmother, the queen, Super Gran! ‘My father, the Duke of York, the most supportive father I could wish for.
‘My mother, the Duchess of York, she is wonderful! ‘My sister, Princess Beatrice, one of my best friends.’ Her sister Beatrice also praises the queen on her MySpace page, describing her as ‘the most amazing woman anyone could ever meet’.
Eugenie - who is the daughter of Sarah Ferguson and her ex-husband Prince Andrew - describes herself as ‘pretty easy going’.
She adds: ‘I like meeting new people and generally mingling! ‘If you haven’t already guessed I am a member of the British Royal Family.
‘People must think it weird being a princess and that we must live some fantasy lifestyle, but I go to school like anyone else my age. ‘Although I am obviously in a very priviledge [sic] situation, my mother and father try and keep us in as normal a family upbringing as possible. My parents divorced when I was 6, but they still get on really well.’ The princess has 283 friends on the site including Bob Geldof’s daughter Pixie and Richard Branson’s daughter Holly. A spokesman for the Prince Andrew told Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper: ‘The girls don’t use MySpace any more. They think it’s a bit too open. They are now using Facebook.’ A Facebook member’s page can only be viewed by people who they have invited to be their friend.
