Hip-hop star SNOOP DOGG’s UK appearances with pal SEAN ‘DIDDY’ COMBS have been thrown into jeopardy after the star was denied a visa to enter Britain.
The rapper - real name CALVIN BROADUS - is currently touring Europe with Combs, with the pair slated to perform five dates in the country next week (beg26MAR07) Tour bosses have admitted they are confused by the authorities decision to prevent Snoop entering the UK - and hope the issue can be resolved as soon as possible.
A representative for the tour says, "Snoop and his team are mystified at the decision and are hoping that the British government will reconsider this decision, especially as he has toured here before and sees the UK as being the highlight of the tour.
"He has asked how he can help rectify the situation and would happily talk to and give assurances to the officials." A spokesperson from the UK’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office refused to comment on the star’s visa problems, saying, "We would never comment on visa applications by individuals." Tuesday’s (27MAR07) gig at Wembley Arena, London, will go ahead, irrespective of Snoop’s visa issues.

MARK WAHLBERG has credited DANNY DeVITO with turning his life around and giving him the confidence to lead an acclaimed acting career.

Actor LIAM NEESON is being lined up to star in a biopic of inimitable Northern Irish politician the REVEREND IAN PAISLEY.
Outspoken Paisley, who famously renounced POPE JOHN PAUL II as "the Antichrist" during a meeting with the head of the Roman Catholic Church, is expected to green-light the movie later this month (MAR07).

LATEST: GIRLS ALOUD singer SARAH HARDING has laughed off reports she is collaborating with rockers the ARCTIC MONKEYS on the band’s third album.
Last week (ends23MAR07) frontman ALEX TURNER suggested bringing Harding into the four-piece’s line up, telling British music magazine the NME, "I’m finding less and less to say.
"I’m writing as a frontman, so I’m thinking, ‘Third album, we’ll just get Sarah Harding to front the band!’ Harding blames her own booze-induced ranting for perpetuating the musical myth - but admits it would be "an honour" to sing with the group.
She says, "Of course we’re not doing a bloody album together. I can’t believe everyone’s making so much of it. Everyone who interviews me now wants to know if we’re collaborating. It was a joke.
"Seriously, the stuff I said at the NME Awards (in February) was just slightly pissed ranting. It would be an honour to sing with them. I’m not sure what their fans would think about it though."

LATEST: Actress EMMA WATSON has ended speculation about her future as HARRY POTTER’s pal HERMIONE GRANGER by confirming to movie executives she’ll be by the boy wizard’s side for all seven films.

The franchise’s fifth movie, HARRY POTTER & THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX will be released this summer (JUL07) - just as author J.K. ROWLING’s seventh and final Potter book, HARRY POTTER & THE DEATHLY HALLOWS, hits stores.
The sixth Potter film, HARRY POTTER & THE HALF BLOOD PRINCE is scheduled to hit cinemas next summer (08).

Celebrity pals DENISE RICHARDS and PAMELA ANDERSON have been named in a lawsuit filed by two photographers, who claim the actresses verbally and physically abused them.
In a lawsuit, filed yesterday (23MAR07) in Los Angeles, snappers SCOTT COSMAN and RIK FEDYCK (corr) allege Richards raged when she spotted the photographers taking snapshots of her on the set of upcoming movie BLONDE & BLONDER last year (NOV06).
According to the lawsuit, which was obtained by TMZ.com, WILD THINGS star Richards spent 20 minutes hurling abuse at the two men and physically assaulted them at the River Rock Casino Resort in Vancouver, Canada.
The plaintiffs claim Richards then "snatched their laptop computers from their hands, and threw them over the (hotel) balcony," adding one of the computers allegedly struck "an elderly woman in a wheelchair." Canadian police investigated the incident and decided it "wasn’t in the best public interest to bring criminal charges" against the actress.
In the lawsuit, Cosman and Fedyck claim Richards and Anderson, her Blonde & Blonder co-star, then falsely told the Royal Canadian Mounted Police that the photographers "had engaged in criminal activity." As a result, they were arrested and held by authorities for "approximately three days." The paparazzi pair is suing both women for assault, battery, defamation, false arrest and a slew of other charges.
