CATE BLANCHETT stunned organisers of the Australian premiere of new British film HOT FUZZ when she jetted back to her homeland to attend the event and then failed to show up.
THE AVIATOR star, who makes a cameo appearance in the movie, was expected at the Sydney premiere on Monday night (12MAR07) after telling producers she’d be there.
But the Aussie actress opted out of the screening at the last minute due to a late night looking after young sons ROMAN and DASHIELL the previous evening.
The walk down the red carpet was instead led by the film’s director EDGAR WRIGHT and lead actors SIMON PEGG and NICK FROST.
