LATEST: Troubled pop star BRITNEY SPEARS has reportedly fallen for a rock musician while she is in a rehabilitation facility, according to press reports in the US.
The 25-year-old has started dating a musician she met while attending Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings and reportedly plans to move in with him once she’s finished her stint in rehab.
According to US publication National Enquirer, the TOXIC singer is dating JASON FILYAW, the 33-year-old lead guitarist for the rock band RIVA.
A source explains, "Britney adores Jason. He’s been a tower of strength for her at the lowest point in her life.
"She’s convinced Jason can help her through rehab because as an alcoholic, he’s been through the same thing." According to the publication, Spears emails and phones Filyaw constantly and they even have pet names for each other - he calls her SUGAR, KITTEN and MY LADY, while she refers to him as MR SECRET UNDERGROUND GUY and J-SUN.

LATEST: SCARLETT JOHANSSON has reteamed with director WOODY ALLEN for their third film together following MATCH POINT and SCOOP.
The LOST IN TRANSLATION star will appear in Allen’s upcoming and as-yet untitled project set to shoot in Spain this summer (07).
Johansson joins fellow castmembers REBECCA HALL, JAVIER BARDEM and PENELOPE CRUZ.
The star joins an elite group of actresses, including MIA FARROW and DIANE KEATON, to become Allen’s latest muse.
Details regarding the script have not been revealed, but the film is scheduled to begin shooting in July (07) in Barcelona and Asturias.
This is Allen’s first film set in Spain, but his fourth in a row outside the US. The last three, Scoop, Match Point and the upcoming CASSANDRA’S DREAM, were all shot in London.

JENNIFER ANISTON is considering leaving her Malibu, California beach house and moving back to her native New York City.
The former FRIENDS star has been spending more time in New York and has been shopping around for real estate.
A source tells American publication Us Weekly, "She feels she needs a boost in her life and she can meet all kinds of people there. And she can meet men." The 38-year-old recently spent five days in the city during a low key visit where she ordered room service at the posh Lowell Hotel and shopped at luxury retailer Hermes quietly a half hour before closing time.
Aniston also looked at an apartment building where PULP FICTION star HARVEY KEITEL is a resident.
The star may be searching for another role on stage after appearing in the one-night show THE 24 HOUR PLAYS in October (06).

LATEST: ANGELINA JOLIE and her son MADDOX arrived in Vietnam today (14MAR07) ahead of the actress’ formal adoption of a three-and-a-half-year-old boy tomorrow (15MAR07).
The 31-year-old and Cambodian-born Maddox, five; flew from New Orleans, Louisiana, to southern Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City airport late on Wednesday night.
Jolie and Maddox were whisked into a car and driven to an undisclosed hotel, where they were to rest before Thursday’s adoption ceremony.
Notably absent from Ho Chi Minh City was Jolie’s partner BRAD PITT, who is adoptive father to Maddox and Ethiopian-born ZAHARA MARLEY, two.
The couple also have a biological child SHILOH NOUVEL, meaning the Vietnamese boy they are adopting would be their fourth child.
Jolie filed the application for adopting the Vietnamese child as a single parent because she and Pitt are not married.
Adoption officials in Vietnam said following the adoption ceremony, Jolie will meet with US consular officials, who have to approve the adoption before a passport can be issued for the youngster.
Officials say if the paperwork is straightforward, Jolie and Pitt could have their new child in New Orleans by the weekend (17-18MAR07).

LATEST: US TV network CBS have denied rumours CHRISTINA AGUILERA is set to appear on their hit crime drama CSI: NY.
Internet reports suggested the BEAUTIFUL singer would star in an episode focused on domestic abuse, an issue close to the star’s heart.
However, a spokesperson for the network insists Aguilera has not been approached to star in the show.
Although Aguilera will not appear on the show, Canadian singer NELLY FURTADO recently filmed an episode of the programme, entitled Some Buried Bones.

ANNE HATHAWAY let BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN co-star JAKE GYLLENHAAL fondle her boobs for real on the set of the Oscar-winning movie, to make the scene as realistic as possible.
But the actress has hinted she had to tell the actor off for trying to make their kissing scenes "a little too realistic".
Hathaway - who played Gyllenhaal’s onscreen wife in the gay cowboy drama tells British radio station Heart FM, "There was this scene in Brokeback Mountain where I get my kit off and I’m in the car with Jake Gyllenhaal and he’s touched my shoulder and he’s touched my stomach and he’s touched around my back everywhere except for, you know, ‘the girls’.
"So the director yells cut and we go behind a screen and I’m putting my clothes back on and Jake comes up to me and says, ‘Annie, the thing is, the scene, in real life I would, so can I?’ "I just turned to him and said, ‘It’s okay Jake, yes, you can touch my boobs.’" But Hathaway suggests Gyllenhaal became a little too amorous when it came to kissing: "Sometimes you work with actors, and they can be lovely guys, but they have kind of dodgy instincts when it comes to kissing in scenes.
"They want to try to make it look a bit too real if you know what I mean."

Executives at Hollywood film studio New Line are desperately trying to sign BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN star JAKE GYLLENHAAL as CAPTAIN MARVEL in SHAZAM! The studio is looking to bid on a big franchise along the lines of BATMAN and SUPERMAN and think the movie, which is based on the DC comic, is the perfect project.

ANNA NICOLE SMITH’s physician pal KHRISTINE EROSHEVICH is haunted by the memory of her last chat with the tragic model, because she begged her friend not to leave her alone.
Eroshevich, who was in Florida with a vacationing Smith, admits she was with the star in the days leading up to her death and recalls her final conversation with her friend.
She says, "She was taking a bath and she was shampooing her hair and I had been with her in the morning. That was Wednesday.
"I was going back and forth, saying goodbye and she was crying, and she said, ‘Please don’t leave me,’ and I left." The Bahamas-based doctor tells US TV news show ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT she has felt terrible guilt ever since her friend’s death a month ago (FEB07).
She adds, "I often think, ‘Should I have stayed? What would have happened?’ Certainly, I could have saved her." And Eroshevich is keen to play down reports Smith died after suffering a fever, revealing her late pal was recovering from an illness when she left her.
She explains, "She wasn’t well… She did spike a fever on Monday night but she got better really quick… I never thought that anything would happen to her.
"I called that night (Wednesday) and was able to find out what she had eaten… and she was doing well. I called in the morning too. I never dreamed (she’d die)."

Canadian singer AVRIL LAVIGNE defends spitting on photographers outside a Hollywood nightclub because they are "scum".
The 22-year-old was leaving Hollywood hotspot Hyde when she was bombarded by a pack of paparazzi and she lashed out.
She tells Seventeen magazine, "I was at Hyde and there were a million paparazzi guys. They’re all these gross older men, like disgusting, scum of the earth.
"They follow you around with clipboards and these glossy pictures of you.
They shove it in your face when you walk out of the club (for an autograph), then sell it on (online auction site) eBay.
"So I wrote ‘f**k you, f**k you, f**k you,’ all over mine. Then I spit on them. And they love it! They’re all laughing saying, ‘Avril spit on me!’ "But I’d been spitting on them for two years and that one time it became a story!"

Members of the BAHA MEN have slammed executives at their record company for ruining their reputation, by forcing them to cover their own recording costs which in turn caused them to bounce cheques.
The WHO LET THE DOGS OUT group filed a lawsuit on Monday (12MAR07) in Los Angeles Superior Court, claiming Activate Entertainment never paid thousands of dollars owed to them to cover recording costs.
The bandmembers were forced to cover expensive production costs with their own money, which led to bad cheque writing.
According to the lawsuit, the group claim their ensuing financial situation was so bad when they "did not receive the additional $180,000 (£92,000) that was owed to them", their lead singer, ISAIAH TAYLOR lost "his home to the bank for lack of funding".
The band also claim they couldn’t afford to pay members of their production crew, which "severely damaged the reputations of the Baha Men group members within the tight-knit music community".

MURRAY GRAND, a composer, lyricist and pianist best known for his song GUESS WHO I SAW TODAY, died last week (07MAR07) in California. He was 87.
Grand, a longtime New York City cabaret singer and pianist, died of emphysema in Santa Monica.
Guess Who I Saw Today, which Grand co-wrote with ELISSE BOYD, was introduced by JUNE CARROLL in the hit Broadway revue LEONARD STILLMAN’s NEW FACES OF 1952.
It was later recorded by EYDIE GORME, NANCY WILSON, CARMEN MCRAE and SARAH VAUGHAN and listed as one of the 25 most important nightclub songs of all time in a recorded anthology compiled by the Smithsonian Institution.
Grand, who also contributed to the 1956 and 1968 editions of New Faces, wrote the songs COME BY SUNDAY, which was recorded by JERI SOUTHERN and THURSDAY’S CHILD, recorded by EARTHA KITT and NOT A MOMENT TOO SOON, recorded by MABEL MERCER, PEGGY LEE and MARLEN VERPLANCK.
Beginning in the late 1940s when he began performing at the Fireside Inn in Manhattan, Grand sang and played piano over the next several decades at a variety of nightspots.
He also appeared a pianist in the films TEMPEST and MOSCOW ON THE HUDSON.
Most recently he composed specialty music for the JOAN COLLINS/LINDA EVANS revival tour of LEGENDS!

The EDDIE MURPHY comedy NORBIT has shot to the top of the UK box office charts.
The movie, which sees the DREAMGIRLS star plays a number of characters, including the hapless title character and his larger-than-life wife, raked in £1.9 million ($3.7 million) in its opening weekend (09-11MAR07).
Action comedy HOT FUZZ falls to second place, while fantasy thriller GHOST RIDER enters at number three.

Hollywood beauty SCARLETT JOHANSSON is reportedly in talks to star in a New York City production of SOUTH PACIFIC.
The MATCH POINT star is one of the actresses being considered for the role of US Navy nurse NELLIE FORBUSH in a revival of the musical at the Lincoln Center, which is scheduled to open in January 2008.
Director BARTLETT SHER is currently arranging auditions for the musical to take place next month (APR07), with Russian tenor DIMITRI HVOROVSTOVSKY said to be in line for the role of plantation owner EMILE DE BECQUE, reports the New York Post.
A production source tells the Post, "They want the leads to be sexy. This is not going to be a stodgy old production of South Pacific." Last year (06), Johansson was forced to put out of talks to play MARIA in the London stage production of SIR ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER’s THE SOUND OF MUSIC, after her management clashed with the theatre impresario over her fees and conditions of her contract.

The WAITING FOR TONIGHT star, 37, - who has successful ventures in the music, movie, fashion and fragrance industries - is now married to third husband MARC ANTHONY, but has enjoyed romances with the likes of BEN AFFLECK and rapper SEAN ‘DIDDY’ COMBS.
And Lopez is contemplating sharing her memoirs, reports the New York Post.
She says, "Maybe when I’m 80, I’ll write about all the sordid details and who did what. But for now, not anytime soon."

JENNIFER LOPEZ was unimpressed by a magazine interview with her ex-boyfriend SEAN ‘DIDDY’ COMBS’ current partner KIM PORTER, declaring the former model’s criticisms of her were "not necessary".
Former model Porter dated the hip-hop mogul from 1994 and they had a son CHRISTIAN together in 1997. However, Combs left her to date his musical protegee Lopez in 1999.
After his high-profile relationship with Lopez ended in February 2001, within two years he had reunited with his old flame Porter and they now have baby twin girls D’LILA and JESSIE, who were born in December (06).
In an October (06) interview in America’s Essence magazine, Porter blasted Combs’ relationship with Lopez, declaring "he fell for a booty and a smile" and admitted she used to tell the rapper he would return to her when he left "his little Puerto Rican girlfriend".
Porter admitted she was in contact with Combs every day of his relationship with Lopez and forbid him from letting their son Christian associate with the Latina beauty.
Porter said, "Does she look like the type that would want to play house and family with two little black kids? No." When asked by the New York Post what she thought about Porter’s comments, Lopez says, "I am not going to go there.
"Look, she knows what went on, I know what went on. And that is where we have to leave it. I am not going to discuss any of the details of that intimate relationship that I had with the public. It’s just not that necessary."

LATEST: ANGELINA JOLIE is set to arrive in Vietnam tonight (14MAR07) to complete the adoption process for a three-and-a-half year old boy.
The MR AND MRS SMITH star will attend an adoption ceremony with officials in Ho Chi Minh City tomorrow morning (15MAR07), before meeting with members of the American consulate who will decide if the child should be issued a passport.
If the documents are granted, Jolie could bring her new son home to New Orleans, Louisiana by this weekend (17-18MAR07).
The boy will be the third child adopted by Jolie. Together with partner BRAD PITT, she is mother to Cambodian MADDOX, five; and Ethiopian ZAHARA MARLEY, two.
The couple also welcomed their first biological child together, SHILOH NOUVEL in May (06).
