BUTLER PLANS TO ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK

300 star GERARD BUTLER is set to star in the remake of the 1981 action film ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK.
Butler is in talks to play SNAKE PLISSKEN in the film, about a one-eyed convict in charge of a raid on a maximum security prison, to liberate the US president.
KURT RUSSELL originated the role in the JOHN CARPENTER film and reprised it in the 1996 sequel, ESCAPE to L.A.
Scottish star Butler’s Hollywood stock is rising fast after his new movie, 300, broke March box office records in America at the weekend to become the third highest-opening R-rated movie ever. The war film took is a staggering $70 million (£36 million) in three days.

    1. We need less R rated movies with Gerard in them. I don’t watch R rated shows. I would like to see him but not in these types of movies.
