PRETTY RICKY GIG ENDS IN GUNFIRE
A British student has been admitted to hospital after being shot during a concert by Miami-based hip hop group PRETTY RICKY.
Trouble broke out at the gig, which took place at Loughborough University, England on Saturday night (10MAR07), after a CS gas canister was discharged into the audience at approximately 2:45am, causing a series of fights. Gunshots were fired soon after, resulting in a 21-year-old steward getting shot in the stomach.
A concert goer says, "There was a handful of total idiots who saw themselves as ‘gangstas’. Pretty Ricky aren’t really a ‘guns and violence’ sort of group, but that kind of crowd still turned up - and in the end they just kicked off.
What I don’t understand is how they managed to get a gun into the building.
There are meant to be security checks." A 22-year-old man has been arrested by police in connection with the incident.
