According to his personal hairdresser CARMELO GUASTELLA, the BORAT star has spent weeks perfecting shaving and styling on his willing chauffeur for the part in the movie, which also stars JOHNNY DEPP.
He says, "Johnny wasn’t sure what I was doing on the set and Sacha told him that I was his drama coach. In fact Sacha is determined to put in a convincing portrayal of a barber.
"I gave him 16 hours of lessons shaving with a cut-throat razor and he picked up in that time what it took me 22 years to learn. He used his driver to test his shaving techniques on - at first the poor guy was rather apprehensive, but no blood was spilt."

BECKHAMS SUED OVER PARTY INVITE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:35 pm

Superstar couple DAVID and VICTORIA BECKHAM could face paying out £1 million ($1.95 million) in damages to a snubbed party guest, according to his lawyer.
Millionaire DAVID WEST is suing the couple after donating £103,000 ($200,850) to children’s charity NSPCC in return for an invite to a fundraising event they held in May last year (06).
West claims the Beckhams’ aides branded him "unsavoury" and banned him from mixing with celebrity guests at the event. He turned down their invite and urged the couple to match his donation, which he claims they refused to do.
It means the Beckhams could be ordered to appear before a London judge to settle the dispute.
West’s lawyer, RODNEY HYLTON-POTTS, says, "We have a very good case and the Beckhams know it. We want them to give evidence in court so they can explain their actions. They may try to get out of it, but we intend to seek an order from the court requiring that they attended the hearing personally."

MOSS REVEALS MOTIVE BEHIND HIGH STREET CHOICE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:32 pm

Supermodel KATE MOSS opted to design clothes for a high street store so she could avoid the stresses of a fashion show.
The 33-year-old has designed a 90-piece collection exclusively for Topshop, available in stores in May (07).
However, many were surprised she lent her talents to an affordable high street chain, rather than the top designers she models for on international catwalks.
She explains, "I’d talked to lots of people in the business about designing my own thing. Everyone said I should do something but I didn’t want to be a designer ‘designer’ and have to do the shows and all of that. I’ve seen that stress." Moss says much of her collection was inspired from her own wardrobe, adding "We started dragging things out that I liked. We looked at stuff and I said ‘Well that if it was like this or that, and in this fabric or that?’ It’s great. I can say I want this boot but with this heel."

RHYMES ABSENT ON FIRST DAY OF FILMING

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:23 pm

Rapper BUSTA RHYMES was conspicuously absent on the first day of filming a new movie yesterday (10MAR07) after police raised concerns about public safety.
Rhymes, real name TREVOR SMITH, is a cast member in crime drama ORDER OF REDEMPTION, which began shooting in New York.
However, police put a stop to his appearance after the NYPD raised security concerns about the high profile and controversial hip-hop star.
Cops have attempted to question Rhymes as a potential witness in the February 2006 fatal shooting of his bodyguard ISRAEL RAMIREZ, but he has consistently refused to cooperate with authorities.
JULIANNE CHO, associate commissioner with the Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre & Broadcasting, confirmed, "The production agreed that Busta Rhymes would not be participating in the scenes shot here after the Police Department raised public safety concerns." However, director JEFF CELENTANO is furious with the decision.
Through a statement he said, "This is tremendously unfair to Busta, who has been nothing but professional during this project. This is a bigger loss for the city of New York." The rapper has had a string of other run-ins with the law recently. Police say he’s driven with a suspended license, beaten his former driver in an argument over money, and chatted on a mobile phone while driving.
