Stolen sale

Posted in: Bizzare Stories — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:47 pm

A Belgian antiques dealer returned from holiday to discover his shop had been broken into and all the stock sold.
Johan Dumon, 62, from Mechelen, was shocked to learn the burglar held a two day sale in his shop and sold at least £17,000 worth of valuables.
Dumon said: "I can only conclude the burglar was a clever man. Instead of dragging it all out of the house he sold it on the spot." Neighbours failed to notice anything unusual - even though the shop has been closed for the last three years.
Attorney Goedele Van den Brande is confident the man will be found, but admits recovering the stolen goods could be impossible as ‘purchasers’ don’t have to return them.
