Shepherd’s delight
A German shepherd who reported his entire flock of sheep missing was shocked to discover them in the field the next day.
Gunther Manninger, 37, called police after his sheep were stolen from a field near the city of Aachen.
He said: "I had a sleepless night worrying about them, and could not believe my eyes when I went to the field the next day to see they had all been returned." Police believe the flock was stolen and then later returned to the field by the guilt-ridden thieves.
One officer revealed: "We found tyre marks at the scene of the crime."
