Hollywood veteran DIANE KEATON has learned to embrace the old maid tag given to her by critics of her unmarried status, insisting the title isn’t so negative anymore.
The 61-year-old actress has never married, but is mum to adopted children DEXTER and DUKE.
She says, "You could say I’m an old maid - I remember when I was a kid, if you were labelled an old maid it was like being a witch. But now that I am one, I don’t feel that way.
"I don’t have a romantic life. Nothing at all. Zero. It is self-imposed. I don’t miss it. I don’t even think about romance. I never married because I was never in a relationship that was good enough to warrant it."
