CAGE’S DEBT TO COMIC BOOKS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:29 pm

Hollywood fanboy NICOLAS CAGE was desperate to star in comic book adaptation GHOST RIDER - because he learned to read using graphic novels.
The actor saw the project as his opportunity to repay a debt to the genre.
Cage says, "I’m loyal to my childhood inspirations. As a boy, I did read a lot of comics. In fact, that’s how I learned to read. I thought now was the perfect time to play a comic book character in a movie.
"I wanted to before with SUPERMAN. (Director) TIM BURTON and I were planning to turn that character upside down, but I’m glad it didn’t work out. Ghost Rider is a better match for me."
