British supermodel NAOMI CAMPBELL feared her career was over after a facial beauty treatment went disastrously wrong.
The 36-year-old catwalk queen was left in agony when a so-called ‘face glow’ treatment recently resulted in second degree burns.
She explains, "I went for a face glow two years ago and the doctor burned me.
I had second-degree burns to my face.
"I couldn’t work for three months. It was a nightmare."

British rocker STING reformed THE POLICE nearly a quarter of a century after they split to surprise his fans.
The ROXANNE hitmaker, who left The Police to focus on his solo career in 1984, reunited the band to satisfy a long-standing urge he could no longer suppress.
He says, "The logic of leaving the band when it was the most successful band in the world was odd. I needed the freedom to write songs on a wider palette and I did that for the next 25 years. Every time I had a successful album, The Police went further away.
"Then one day I woke and said now is the time to deal with this thing.
"I’d just done this lute album that was more successful that I could have ever imagined. I could do another one but that would be painting myself into a corner.
"Do I want to do another Sting record? I thought, I’m not ready. What will really surprise people, really surprise me? "What kept coming into my head was, ‘Phone the boys.’ Then I made the call.
They were thrilled and so am I." The Police reunion tour kicks off in Vancouver, Canada in May (07).

LITTLE BRITAIN stars MATT LUCAS and DAVID WALLIAMS are to appear in an episode of hit Australian soap NEIGHBOURS.
The British comic duo are currently touring Australia and have already filmed the episode, in which they appear as their Little Britain characters ANDY, a wheelchair-bound hoaxer and his unsuspecting carer LOU.
The Neighbours website reads: "Cast and crew were delighted to welcome Matt, David and the documentary team that are recording their tour experience Down Under." The pair will be seen drinking in the Scarlet Bar next to regulars TOADIE and STEPH, but the cameo will not be screened in Australia for another three months, and British viewers will have to wait until later in the year (07) to see Andy and Lou in action.

Veteran British actress DAME MAGGIE SMITH still suffers horrific stage fright, despite her 50 years experience treading the boards.
The 72-year-old is about to star in new London play THE LADY FROM DUBUQUE, but is currently recovering from a viral infection.
And Smith, who made her stage debut in 1956, is convinced her friends and colleagues are waiting for her body to give up.
She says, "I think they all think I’m going to die. And I might.
"I’m very scared about the stage at the moment. I’ve always been scared actually, but I didn’t know I’d be this scared.
"Perhaps it will be alright on the night. Well, it won’t be on the first night, but afterwards perhaps."

British actor SEAN BEAN insists he is nothing like his tough guy screen persona in real life.
The 47-year-old star, whose violent bad guy roles include a terrorist in PATRIOT GAMES, prefers to stay away from threatening situations as much as possible, but would not hesitate to defend himself if the need arose.
He says, "I go out of my way not to put myself in that sort of situation. I play tough parts but I don’t want to live them.
"At the same time, if someone comes up and gives you a swipe on the back of the head you’re going to do something.
"We’ve all been in situations where we’ve thought, ‘Things can’t go on like this. Are you just going to stand there and get battered, or are you going to stand up for yourself?’"

Hollywood actress ANNE HATHAWAY hates being stared at by fans - because it makes her face go red.
The BECOMING JANE star, who shot to fame at the age of 19 after appearing in the 2001 Disney film THE PRINCESS DIARIES, still struggles with the often intrusive behaviour she experiences.
She says, "The weirdest thing that I still can’t get used to, and I refuse to accept, is when people try to unpack my bags for me. It just freaks me out; I don’t want people touching my underwear.
"And I usually get stares. That’s the hardest thing - getting used to being stared at.
"It makes you become very, very hot and then turn bright red. And then people are like, why is she turning bright red?"

British-born TV star MISCHA BARTON would be a lawyer working in the UK if she wasn’t an actress.
Barton was born in London but moved to New York with her family at the age of five, and she couldn’t be more proud of her origins.
She says, "I’m so proud of my roots. I feel very English and if we’d stayed in London I’d probably be a lawyer now." Barton, 21, even keeps her Los Angeles home well stocked with tastes of England.

An outfit worn by DOCTOR WHO star TOM BAKER on the legendary sci-fi show has been bought for £24,600 ($48,000) at auction, 12 times what organisers expected it to fetch.
The 73-year-old’s trademark brown tweed trousers, burgundy coat and striped scarf were sold at Bonhams auction house in London earlier today (06MAR07).
Baker starred as Doctor Who in 173 episodes of the BBC TV drama between 1974 and 1981.
Also auctioned was a pair of BATMAN and ROBIN costumes once worn in a festive episode of long-running British TV comedy ONLY FOOL AND HORSES.

US filmmaker LARRY CLARK has launched a scathing attack on critics who slammed his controversial 1995 movie KIDS - claiming they are ruled by double standards.
Clark remains livid that Kids - about a group of New York City teenagers’ irresponsible attitude towards sex and drugs - was deemed exploitative when the media constantly capitalise on the sexually overt behaviour of young celebrities.
He says, "Do I exploit teen sexuality more than the tabloid newspapers who have pictures of famous young women getting out of a car with no pants on? No f**king way. F**k the critics." Clark’s 2002 film KEN PARK was banned in many countries, including his native America, after the director refused to cut graphic scenes which showed what appeared to be teenagers having actual sex on camera.
And he blames the US censorship board for being prejudiced towards budget filmmakers in favour of big Hollywood names.
Clark says, "I’ve been working my whole life to get an R rating. It’s all to do with the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America), those c**k sucking motherf**kers. Let me tell you about the f**kin MPAA. They are a censorship board run by the studios to protect their films. So they s**t all over the smaller independent films like mine.
"This means we’re allowed to watch SHARON STONE f**king the s**t out of MICHAEL DOUGLAS before she stabs him (in BASIC INSTINCT), but I can’t show what I wanna show. It’s the most corrupt system in the world."

ARCTIC MONKEYS drummer MATT HELDERS is launching his own fashion collection for designer label Supremebeing.
The British rocker’s exclusive clothing range consists of a jacket, a zipped hoodie and three T-shirts, all of which are limited to 600 of each style and colour.
Each garment will be accompanied by a CD featuring an Arctic Monkeys remix by Helders and Supremebeing designer SKUFF.
The line will be available in selected British stores from May (07), with £1 ($1.95) from each sale donated to charity Arthur Rank Hospice, which helps support the families of the terminally ill.

Rock newcomers BUCK BROTHERS have set a world record for the most concerts played in a day, after performing at 28 London venues in 12 hours yesterday (05MAR07).
The three-piece British band - said to be a favourite of HARRY POTTER star DANIEL RADCLIFFE - raced from gig to gig, starting at 11am with sets in north London venues including The Enterprise in Chalk Farm and the Hope and Anchor in Highbury.
Buck Brothers finished their mammoth run with a full-length set at Leicester Square’s Sound Republic in the centre of the capital. Their successful attempt was to mark the release of their debut album ME.
Singer ANDY DUKE, 28, says, "Being able to spend the whole day playing music with fans following us around London - I couldn’t ask for a more fun day." The former record holder was German band KANSAS CITY, who played 26 shows in 24 hours in 2005.

THE KILLERS frontman BRANDON FLOWERS has dismissed KAISER CHIEF NICK HODGSON’s recent criticism his band are too ambitious to become as big as U2.
Flowers has been left confused by drummer Hodgson’s comments, not understanding how a band can be too hungry.
He says, "Hodgson was asked who would be the next U2 and he said it wouldn’t be The Killers because we wanted it too much.
"That doesn’t make any sense though, because all the bands who have really done well have wanted it just as much as we want it.
"Things don’t fall into your lap, it’s about a hunger and a desire and, of course, we do have that.
"I wouldn’t be too disappointed if we’re not a U2-sized band, but I wanna be in The Killers - not a B-list band. I’ve got a strong competitive streak, it’s just in my blood, and that will never go away."

Former BOYZONE star RONAN KEATING has dismissed reports the Irish pop group are on the verge of reforming, after speculation of a TAKE THAT-style reunion tour surfaced last month (FEB07).
It was reported Keating had agreed to join up with former band members STEPHEN GATELY, KEITH DUFFY, MIKEY GRAHAM and SHANE LYNCH in a bid to match the success of recently reformed boy band Take That.
Keating insists the reports are false because he is currently focusing on his solo career, but he could be persuaded to do a short tour with his former band in the future.
He says, "All that speculation in the papers that we’ve done a deal for millions is absolute rubbish.
"I’m making a new record and I can’t let anything get in the way of that, but if we got the right deal over a short period and if it fits in between now and my next album coming out, I’d love to do it.
"I’d love to do it for the other (Boyzone) guys as well because I know that I’ve been the one holding it up."

Rapper KANYE WEST is to headline a major music concert in Kuala Lumpur next month (APR07), in what will be the biggest hip-hop event Malaysia has ever seen.
The GOLD DIGGER star, 29, is scheduled to perform at Stadium Negara in the Malaysian capital on 8 April, where he will be joined onstage by a female string orchestra.
The one-off concert in the region is part of West’s tour of the Far East, which will see him play gigs in Japan and South Korea, reports AllHipHop.com.

The ‘Mean Girls’ star looked dishevelled and worryingly thin in the toilets of the plush Hollywood Roosevelt hotel where she had been partying at exclusive nightclub Teddy’s on Saturday night (03.03.07).
After spending 10 minutes in a cubicle, Lindsay - who was wearing a pair of oversized sunglasses - breezed out of the toilets followed by a group of girls.
One fellow reveller, who had been partying at the hotel’s Tropicana Poolside Bar, said: ‘She looked really thin and tired, although it was quite difficult to tell if she had been drinking. Most of the other girls were surprised when they found out they had been sharing a rest room with a Hollywood A-lister.
‘She tried not to look at anyone as she left, but one girl noticed her and said, ‘That was Lindsay Lohan! Hasn’t she just come out of rehab?’ ‘ After her trip to the toilets, Lindsay, 20, was seen heading back to the nightclub.
It is not the first time the ‘Bobby’ star has enjoyed an evening at Teddy’s since leaving Los Angeles’ Wonderland rehab centre on February 16.
Lindsay performed a DJ set there last month before leaving with ‘Jackass’ star Steve-O.
Lindsay recently admitted she was ‘really sick’ before checking into Wonderland for alcoholism.
She said: ‘I was really sick. I went to the hospital and had people sit me down who said, ‘You are going to die if you don’t take care of yourself.’ ‘I heeded what they were telling me.’

Bardem, 38, revealed he had spoken with Allen by phone, but had not seen a script.
As is usual with Allen movies, the title and screenplay details are being secretly guarded.
However, it is has been revealed the film will be shot in both Spanish and English and focus on a series of love entanglements.
The movie will reunite Oscar-nominees Bardem and Cruz, who worked together on the hit 1992 Spanish movie ‘Jamón, jamón’.
The dark comedy told the story of an underwear factory boss who falls in love with a shop-floor worker, much to the disappointment of his mother.
