United in name

Posted in: Bizzare Stories — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:00 pm

A Bulgarian football fan wants to change his name to Manchester United.
Marin Levidzhev, from Veliko Tarnovo, has spent two years pursuing his case in court and is now legally allowed to call himself Manchester Levidzhev.
Local magistrates stopped him from changing his surname to United, ruling that being an ardent supporter of the English club is not a good enough reason.
Levidzhev said: "I feel as if I am only at the half-time break. I won’t feel right until I get my name changed to Manchester United.
"I love the club. It’s my whole life and I want my name to reflect that." He now plans to take his case to a higher court.
