MILLER: ‘NO ONE IN THE US WAS INTERESTED IN SEDGWICK’
SIENNA MILLER has slammed filmmakers for their disinterest in the story of tragic 1960s muse EDIE SEDGWICK.
The British actress, who played the late star in FACTORY GIRL, insists directors were reluctant to work on the movie because they viewed Sedgwick as the PARIS HILTON of her day, Miller says, "They (US filmmakers) were like, ‘So, what? In 30 years’ time are they gonna make a film about Paris Hilton?’ "The thing about Edie was that she was a performance artist. She’d walk into a room and start dancing, start performing.
"But the people I’ve been speaking to missed the point. They’re like, ‘Okay, rich, socialite, drugs, dead.’ "If that was the case she fooled some smart people. SALVADOR DALI, ALLEN GINSBERG, TRUMAN CAPOTE… they were all obsessed with her, in love with her.
In 2007 people still talk about her. That’s huge power."

The IDIOT Sienna Miller is so totally clueless. The quoted reason why NO ONE was interested in the movie “Factory Girl”, is because the Producers RUINED the project by hiring the talentless, alcoholic & drug addicted slut, actress wannabe Sienna Miller, to portray Edie Sedgwick.

You obviously have no idea what you’re talking about when commenting on Miller’s acting abilities, neither have you any idea about Edie Sedgwick. If you took tthe time to watch the Ciao! Manhattan move footage or listen to the audio tapes you’d realise how well Miller portrayed Sedgwick. You would also realise that Sedgwick’s ability to urn people’s infatuation is much like Sedgwick’s ability on screen. Please talk on subjects that you understand… kind of made a silly remark there didn’t you….?? try harder next time.

That is so true, the first guy has no idea what he’s talking about!!! Well said!!! Sedgwick was the Twiggy of New York, capturing people’s interest, and creating style fashions. Monumental in the sixties!! Great movie too, Sienna Miller was awesome, really impressed me.
