STARS TEAM UP AT TIBET HOUSE CONCERT

Collaborations were all the rage at the 17th annual Tibet House Benefit concert at Carnegie Hall, New York last night (26FEB07) with RAY DAVIES, DEBORAH HARRY, MICHAEL STIPE and PATTI SMITH giving music fans a special treat.
Davies and BLONDIE singer Harry teamed up for a version of the KINKS’ LOLA, while Smith joined Stipe for a rendition of R.E.M’s EVERYBODY HURTS.
Also on the bill were LOU REED, LAURIE ANDERSON, Icelandic band SIGUR ROS, composer PHILIP GLASS and BEN HARPER.
One of the night’s highlights came when Stipe performed R.E.M tune CHORUS & THE RING for the first time.
