DeGENERES CREDITS SPIELBERG FOR OSCARS TIP
Oscars host ELLEN DeGENERES owes movie mogul STEVEN SPIELBERG for helping her get through her first Academy Awards - because his pre-show tip helped her overcome her nerves.
Spielberg sent the comedienne flowers when he first learned she’d be hosting the big show and had some excellent advice that helped DeGeneres keep her cool onstage.
She recalls, "He said, ‘Please don’t look in the first few rows; people are too nervous. Look way in the back in the theatre because they’re the ones that are gonna laugh."
