SCORSESE CONSIDERS FAMILY FILM
MARTIN SCORSESE is set to showcase his childish streak after considering an opportunity to direct a new family film.
The moviemaker, famous for some of Hollywood’s most gritty and violent films, is in negotiations to turn recently published children’s book THE INVENTION OF HUGO CABRET, into a big screen spectacular.
The story, set in the 1930s, follows a 12-year-old orphan’s bid to bring a robot to life.
Meanwhile, Scorsese is nominated to win his first Best Director Oscar on Sunday (25FEB07), and he’s the favourite to claim the prize.
