BALI BOMBINGS MOVIE BANNED ON INDONESIAN ISLAND

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:07 pm

A movie about the 2002 Bali bombings that killed more than 200 people has been banned by the Indonesian island’s film board.
LONG ROAD TO HEAVEN, which premiered in the capital Jakarta in January (07), is the first Indonesian film to tackle the terrorist attacks.
However, I GUSTI NGURAH GDE, the head of the provincial film board worries the picture will "reopen old wounds".
He says, ""We fear people who do not understand it would trigger conflict and direct hatred at a certain group.
"If the Bali bombing tragedy is revived, this would reopen old wounds, especially among the victims.
"Almost all of us said we should reject the screening of this movie across Bali."
