Anna Nicole Smith will be buried in the Bahamas.
Judge Larry Seidlin awarded custody of the former Playboy Playmate’s body to Richard Milstein - her daughter Dannielynn’s court-appointed guardian yesterday (22.02.07).
Milstein has decided she should be buried in the Bahamas, next to her son Daniel.
Judge Seidlin said: ‘The Broward County medical examiner is ordered to release those remains to Milstein in accordance with Milstein’s direction.
‘Milstein is directed to consult with Virgie Arthur, Larry Birkhead and Howard K. Stern with respect to disposition of Anna Nicole Smith’s remains.
But he has final discretion.’ He tearfully added: ‘I want her buried with her son. I want her buried with her son in the Bahamas. I want them to be together.’ Anna Nicole’s lover Howard K. Stern and her mother Virgie Arthur both broke down in tears as the decision was made.
Stern revealed the ruling outside the Florida courtroom along with Arthur and photographer Larry Birkhead - who claims to be Dannielynn’s biological father.
While the three had made vicious verbal attacks against each other in court, they showed no resentment to each other as they made the announcement.
Yesterday, a closed-door hearing began in the Bahamas regarding the paternity of Anna Nicole’s five-month-old daughter Dannielynn.
Stern is named on the birth certificate as the father but Birkhead claims he is her dad.
