Amanda Peet gave birth to a baby girl on Wednesday (21.02.07).
The ‘Syriana’ star was scheduled to attend the Georg Jensen Cave diamond jewellery collection launch dinner on Tuesday night (20.02.07) in Los Angeles but cancelled after going into labour.
A source said: ‘She went into labour and was rushed to hospital.’ Her representative confirmed the birth but refused to give any further details.
Peet and the baby’s father, ‘Troy’ screenwriter David Benioff, dated for four years before marrying last September.
The baby, which the couple had announced would be a girl, was due on March 7.
Peet, who turned 35 last month, is currently starring in US TV show ‘Studio 60′ with former ‘Friends’ actor Matthew Perry.
