SHOW GOES ON FOR MOURNING GRIFFIN
Comic KATHY GRIFFIN has decided the show must go on after losing her father days before she was scheduled to host a pre-Oscars gay awards show.
Organisers of the Annual Gay Adult Entertainment Awards feared they’d be without a celebrity host after learning Griffin had lost her father last Friday (16FEB07), following a long illness.
But the redhead insists she will still host the prize giving in San Francisco, California on Saturday night (24FEB07).
Awards producer CHAD BEECHER says, "We are grateful to Kathy and impressed with her courage.
"She’s demonstrating that’s she’s a real professional, carrying on in the face of tough personal news. She has our sympathy, and our respect."
