MIRREN, FREARS AND MORGAN INVITED TO LUNCH WITH THE QUEEN
Oscar nominee DAME HELEN MIRREN has been invited to meet British royal QUEEN ELIZABETH II at Buckingham Palace in London, screenwriter PETER MORGAN has confirmed.
Mirren is favourite to win the Best Actress Academy Award on Sunday (25FEB07) for her portrayal of the monarch in THE QUEEN.
The Queen director STEPHEN FREARS and screenwriter Morgan, who are also both nominated for an Oscar, will join Mirren at a lunch meeting with Elizabeth II.
The film focuses on the week following the death of DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES, who lost her life in a high-speed car crash in Paris, France in 1997.
