US TV host ROSIE O’DONNELL denies spoiling hundreds of holidaymakers’ summer vacations when she hired out a Caribbean cruise ship, insisting their complaints have nothing to do with her.
The outspoken television star allegedly chartered the full capacity of a cruise liner headed from New York to Bermuda and the Bahamas in July (07), forcing Norwegian Cruise Line to cancel other people’s bookings, reports the New York Daily News.
An official statement from the company released yesterday (20FEB07) fails to mention the cause of the cancellations.
It reads, "The company sincerely apologises for this change and would like to thank its guests for their understanding." However, O’Donnell is confident she is not the one responsible for the messed-up plans.
Her spokeswoman CINDI BERGER says, "It’s not Rosie’s fault. This is an old issue. This happens every time someone charters a cruise, but because it’s Rosie, people want to make it an issue."

Country star TERRI CLARK has branded her decision to split from second husband GREG KACZOR as "very sad".
The pair, who married in September 2005 after ten years together, announced their intention to end their marriage last Friday (16FEB07) when Clark filed for divorce. But the singer insists the split is amicable.
She says, "This is very sad. Greg is one of my dearest friends and a wonderful person, and we are sorry that we’re here." Activist BOB GELDOF is urging the British Government to adopt a text-messaging based scheme to help cut truancy rates in British schools.
The former BOOMTOWN RATS singer believes the Groupcall scheme, which alerts parents when their child fails to turn up at school, is vital in the battle to halt pupils skipping school. Geldof has pleaded with the Labour Government to adopt the new strategy - with the plan already in place in Australia.
He says, "I say (to them) why aren’t you using this? You came to power specifically on the promise of education, education, education, and here’s something that delivers you measurable results in the fight against truancy.
"It’s a no-brainer. We’re already talking with the Western Australian Government, who are just going to roll it out all over there."

The photographer - who claims he is the father of the late model’s five-month-old daughter Dannielynn - arrived in Florida this week to join the legal battle for custody of her body, so he can bury her.

I had to go to England to re-record it all.’ The ‘Devil Wears Prada’ actress says she was terrified at the prospect of portraying the legendary writer and was so determined to impress critics that she was left exhausted after filming finished.
Anne said: ‘This was my first big accent undertaking. The pressure of playing someone so beloved and of whom people are so fiercely protective was nerve-wracking.
‘I’ve never been so exhausted as when I finished this movie. It took me about two months to regain my strength.’
