British funnyman STEPHEN MERCHANT is refusing to bare all for a UK magazine fearing pictures of his skinny frame could "come back to haunt me".
The writer/comedian, who plays geeky agent DARREN LAMB in hit TV show EXTRAS, was approached by Cosmopolitan magazine for the raunchy shoot.
But Merchant is sceptical the British public is prepared for the sight of his bare body in a centrefold.
He says, "It’s not going to happen. It would come back to haunt me as soon as it was published.
"I’m not sure whether I want my (body) seen by the photographer, never mind the nation’s lovelies."
