The Sherman Oaks studio where BRITNEY SPEARS was tattooed on Friday night (16FEB07) has been inundated with new customers since the pop star’s impromptu visit.
The 25-year-old went to the Body and Soul tattoo parlour in California’s San Fernando Valley, where she requested a pair of lips on her wrist and a cross on her lower abdomen after shaving her head bald.
Tattoo artist MAX SCOTT says business is booming from all of the publicity surrounding Spears’ bizarre visit.
Scott tells US talk show host LARRY KING, "They’ve been knocking down the doors since Britney came through.
"There’s a lot of people that are just calling trying to get their daughters tattooed and friends." Scott says he is booked solid and expects requests for the same tattoo as Spears adding, "I would image (the new appointments) have something to do with what she had (done)." LATEST: SYLVESTER STALLONE may be in trouble with Australia authorities over what is reported to be banned bodybuilding substances.
The actor was in Sydney for the Australian opening of ROCKY BALBOA Friday night (16FEB07), when he was stopped by customs officials after a routine X-ray detected something suspicious.
The actor and his entourage were detained for several hours, causing them to miss the film’s premiere, for packing what was believed to be a type of human growth hormone.
Yesterday (19DEC07) officials searched his hotel room and private jet for illegal substances, just three days after seizing the banned substances at the airport.
RICHARD JANECZKO, the national investigations manager for the Australian Customs Service, told Sydney’s Daily Telegraph, contraband items were seized, but refused to reveal any details.
Stallone, 60, initially told the newspaper the incident was a "misunderstanding" and that reports of him transporting steroids were "totally hot air".
When Australian officials arrived at the Park Hyatt hotel to issue the actor with a summons to answer charges on the prohibited substances, Stallone and his entourage were allegedly seen throwing things out the windows of their hotel room. According to the Telegraph, a search of the room allegedly resulted in additional evidence being seized.
The actor was cleared to leave the country on Monday (19FEB07), but an investigation will continue.
A spokesperson for the Customs Service adds, "There is a range of options we can pursue in these circumstances. The investigation is ongoing, and we are aware of Mr Stallone’s travel movements. "The material has to be identified, and we have to look at all the options and the evidence before deciding what action to take." Penalties for possession of such items in Australia can range from fines up to $110,000 (£56,000) or up to five years in jail.

Welsh actor IOAN GRUFFUDD hired his old drama school music teacher to help him hit the high notes in new movie AMAZING GRACE - but still fears he failed to impress cast and crew.
The FANTASTIC FOUR star fell ill with the flu just before he was due to shoot singing scenes in the period drama - and feels he wasted all his effort in trying to sound like he could hold a note. He says, "I was very confident coming to the project and I felt I’d be remembered for my singing. I did get my old singing teacher from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts to help me.
"It had been 10 years since I’d seen him and he was one of my mentors at RADA, an influential teacher, so I was delighted to see him again.
"We worked hard together and then on the day of the singing he helped me warm up. Then I get the flu and a cold and I’ve hardly got a voice.
"It was a real strain and struggle to get it out."

Tony Award-nominee and TV actor DANIEL McDONALD died of brain cancer on Thursday (15FEB07) in New York City. He was 46.
McDonald received a 1997 Tony Award-nomination for his performance in STEEL PIER and also appeared on Broadway in MAMMA MIA! as SAM CARMICHAEL and HIGH SOCIETY as CK DEXTER HAVEN.
He was also seen in the US tour of CONTACT, the music and dance show, in 2002.
McDonald often worked in television, appearing in such popular series as SEX AND THE CITY, LAW & ORDER, CSI:MIAMI, SVU: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT and MURDER, SHE WROTE.
He also appeared in the feature films THE ICE STORM and WHAT’S LOVE GOT TO DO WITH IT.

LATEST: US football player TOM BRADY was shocked by ex-girlfriend BRIDGET MOYNAHAN’s public announcement she was expecting his child.
The 36-year-old actress announced she is more than three months pregnant with the New England Patriot star’s child through LIZ SMITH’s gossip column in the New York Post.
Moynahan reportedly didn’t inform Brady, who is now dating supermodel GISELE BUNDCHEN, that she was announcing the pregnancy until the very last minute.
A friend of Brady’s tells American publication Us Weekly he was blind-sided by Moynahan’s press blitz saying, "He’s disappointed this is how she’s decided to play it.
"She announced it to make him look like a jerk." Sources say the couple didn’t know Moynahan was pregnant when they broke up in November (06), but Brady "has known about it for a while".
The birth announcement reportedly put a damper on Brady’s romantic Paris getaway with Bundchen. The couple were on holiday at The Ritz hotel when news of the pregnancy broke.

LATEST: ANNA NICOLE SMITH’s companion and lawyer HOWARD K STERN insists the former Playboy Playmate wanted to be buried near MARILYN MONROE in Los Angeles, but decided it was too expensive.
Stern says Smith always believed she would die young, like her idol Monroe, and thought she would die while giving birth to daughter DANNIELYNN in September (06).
He appeared in a Florida courtroom today (20FEB07) to testify regarding what will happen to Smith’s remains.
Stern explained, "She talked of death really from the time that I met her." He said they also looked at burial plots in Burbank, California and later, after her son DANIEL died, the issue of burial "went back and forth for some time".
Stern said he suggested that Daniel be buried in Los Angeles, but Smith insisted he be buried in the Bahamas, where he died in September (06).
He added, "She died emotionally when Daniel died. It was the reason why she didn’t want to bury him earlier than she did. It was the most difficult thing that I’ve ever seen anyone go through." LARRY BIRKHEAD, who claims he is the father of Smith’s baby, is also in court, along with her estranged mother VIRGIE ARTHUR.

BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN’s music will be honoured in an all-star tribute gala concert at Carnegie Hall in New York City.
Performers will include JEWEL, CHRIS ISAAK, KENNETH "BABYFACE" EDMONDS, the BACON BROTHERS (actor KEVIN BACON’s duo), STEVE EARLE, BRUCE HORNSBY, JOSH RITTER and PETE YORN.
Each artist will perform one of the singer’s tunes during the Springsteen Tribute fundraiser to benefit Music for Youth, an initiative that supports music education for underprivileged youth.
The all-star gala concert will be held on 5 April (07).

Singer/guitarist MARY KAYE, who is credited with introducing the word "lounge" into Las Vegas shows, has died of heart and respiratory failure. She was 83.
Kaye, who had been in declining health, died Saturday (17FEB07) at a Las Vegas hospital.
The singer, who was part of the MARY KAYE TRIO, was the one who suggested building a stage in the bar area of the Last Frontier hotel and calling it a lounge.
The group performed in the early hours of the morning, helping to turn Las Vegas into a 24-hour entertainment capital.
Headliners such as FRANK SINATRA and ELVIS caught the trio’s act between 1-6 am.
The best-known version of the trio included Mary Kaye on guitar, her older brother NORMAN on bass and FRANK ROSS, the group’s comedian and sometimes accordionist.
The band released dozens of albums before breaking up in 1966.

Former pop star KERRY KATONA gave birth to a baby girl four weeks premature at England’s Warrington General Hospital today (20FEB07).
HEIDI ELIZABETH was born at 1pm (GMT), weighing 5 pounds (2.26 kilograms), delivered by Caesarian section. Heidi is Katona’s third child, but her first with second husband MARK CROFT, who she married on Valentine’s Day (14FEB07). Her spokesman MAX CLIFFORD says, "Mother and baby are doing fine." Katona has two daughters from her marriage to former WESTLIFE singer BRIAN McFADDEN, MOLLY, five and LILY SUE, three.

Music legend TONY BENNETT is writing a new book about his passion for art and music.
TONY BENNETT IN THE STUDIO: A LIFE OF ART AND MUSIC is set for release in October (07).
The book, co-written by ROBERT SULLIVAN, will include a preface by MARIO CUOMO and a foreword by best-selling author MITCH ALBOM.
It will include more than 20 reproductions of the singer’s personal memorabilia and over 200 colour and black-and-white representatives of his artwork. The book will also come with an exclusive CD featuring some of Bennett’s favourite songs and will delve into recurring themes in Bennett’s life including jazz, individualism, the creative zone, love, truth and beauty.

LATEST: Just days after impulsively shaving off all her hair at a California salon, BRITNEY SPEARS hit the Hollywood club scene again.
The pop star arrived at The Roxy in West Hollywood, in a platinum blonde wig and sunglasses at 11pm on Sunday night (18FEB07).
The 25-year-old went into the club’s VIP bar, On the Rox, where she went unrecognised.
According to American publication People, Spears and her friends "sat by themselves".
A source explains, "No one noticed her, so much so that no one ever went over to her and offered her a drink or anything.
"She was wearing sunglasses for at least part of the time she was inside, which might have been why." A private birthday party for 80 people was taking place in the VIP section, which included karaoke.
The TOXIC singer stayed for an hour and a half and left when a partygoer started singing karaoke to her song BABY ONE MORE TIME.
Spears reportedly left around 1am with a brunette friend and drove to the posh Beverly Hills Hotel followed by a pack of paparazzi.

Newly single actor HUGH GRANT has hinted he ditched JEMIMA KHAN, because she disappointed him on Valentine’s Day (14FEB07).

Scottish actor GERARD BUTLER was determined to get in shape for his new movie role as a Spartan king, after having his size criticised on by complete strangers.
The 36-year-old - who plays KING LEONIDAS in the film epic 300, based on FRANK MILLER’s graphic novel - took the statements to heart and set upon a strict fitness regime to get back into shape.
The TOMB RAIDER: THE CRADLE OF LIFE star says, "I had just come from Italy and three different people who I had never met before had commented on me being fat. I had made a promise to myself that I would make this the film of my life, so I went a little crazy.
"The boot camp for the movie was very intense but I had already been training for three months before that." Despite his preparation for the role, Butler admits the tough workout programme still took its toll.
He says, "Afterwards I had tendonitis in almost every part of my body. I had a bad injury in my forearm which still comes up if I go to the gym.
"I had a rotator cuff injury and I pulled my hip flexer. Then there was a lot of whacks. Whenever you’re doing a lot of sword fighting you’re always getting whacked in the head or punched."

Action comedy HOT FUZZ has shot straight to the top of the UK box office charts.
The film, starring SIMON PEGG as a high-flying police officer relocated to work in the sleepy village of Sandford, England, raked in £5.9 million ($11.5 million) in its opening weekend.
