KATE HUDSON and former boyfriend OWEN WILSON made a rare public appearance together in Australia at a private screening of WE ARE MARSHALL.
Hudson is currently filming FOOL’S GOLD with We Are Marshall star MATTHEW McCONAUGHEY, who screened the movie for cast and crew members.
Wilson, 38 and Hudson, 27, made a low-key entrance at the Pacific Fair cinema in Broadbeach on Australia’s Gold Coast. Wilson is a longtime friend of McConaughey’s and was the surprise guest at the screening for thirty people.
A source tells American publication People, "They were cozy, they chose seats together and seemed relaxed, although slightly nervous, probably because they were in public together. Once the lights dimmed, they chilled out a bit more." Wilson jetted Down Under to visit Hudson, who has been on location filming since November (06).
Hudson and rocker CHRIS ROBINSON split last August (06), amid rumours she was romantically involved with her YOU, ME AND DUPREE co-star Wilson.
The pair have been spotted spending time together in California and Hawaii.

He explains, "She was definitely having fun with her friends. The Mondrian is the kind of place you wouldn’t go if you didn’t want to be seen, especially during Oscar week.
"She wasn’t exactly hiding. It was a beautiful day in Los Angeles. Lots of people were around."

TERI HATCHER was shocked during an appearance on THE TONIGHT SHOW with JAY LENO on Friday (16FEB07), when she was shown a videotape of former US President GEORGE BUSH patting her on the behind.
The DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES star had lunch with Bush in Los Angeles recently and had no idea why media reports were making such a big deal out of a friendly lunch.
When the talk show host asked her about their relationship she joked, "That’s my other boyfriend. We were having lunch talking about a charity thing that I’m involved in with him and MRS BUSH.
"When we left the place, one of the things we had been talking about at lunch was that I got this new Mercedes. So when we left, he wanted to see my car, so he walked me to my car.

LATEST: A former chauffeur who attempted to blackmail YOKO ONO for $2 million (£1 million), pleaded guilty Friday (16FEB07) to reduced charges.
KORAL KARSAN, 50, pleaded guilty to attempted grand larceny in the third degree in a Manhattan, New York courtroom and was sentenced to 60 days in jail.
He admitted he threatened to try and embarrass the widow of former BEATLE JOHN LENNON unless she gave him "more than $3,000 (£1,500)." He was initially charged with first-degree attempted grand larceny for allegedly threatening to release embarrassing recordings and photos of the 73-year-old unless she paid him $2 million.
Karsan will now be moved from a city jail cell to federal immigration custody. He is in the US illegally and faces deportation.

VICTORIA BECKHAM was furious with photographers who ruined her trip to Disneyland by swarming her and her two sons during a family day out.
The former SPICE GIRL has said her young sons were excited to be moving to Los Angeles so they could be closer to Disneyland.

The ‘You, Me and Dupree’ co-stars - who insist they are not a couple - spent the weekend at the Gold Coast’s Palazzo Versace hotel.
They were seen riding bicycles in Southport and attended a pre-screening of Kate’s film ‘Fool’s Gold’ at the Pacific Fair cinema.
A source told Australia’s Daily Telegraph newspaper: ‘They walked hand-in-hand to the back door of the cinema but leapt apart and headed for separate doors when they realised a photographer was present.’ Owen allegedly pushed a photographer twice to avoid being pictured as he left the cinema.
One fan, Jemima O’Neill, said: ‘We were going to ask him for a photograph but when we saw him trying to ram the photographer we were too scared.
‘We had been waiting for nearly two hours, but he was so angry we thought there is no way we are going to ask him for a photograph.’ Kate and Owen met on set of ‘You, me and Dupree’.
Kate filed for divorce from her rock star husband Chris Robinson last August. The couple have a three-year-old son, Ryder.
