A Serbian man wants to convert his house into a church because his back garden is already a burial site to many of his friends and neighbours.
Dragan Djordjevic registered his garden, in the southern village of Grbavce, as a cemetery when his mother died ten years ago so she could be buried there.
The 53-year-old has now applied for permission to turn his house into a church.
He said: "The nearest cemetery was too far away. I thought if I buried her in the back garden I could visit her grave more often, and save time.
"Then a neighbour asked if they could bury a relative there as I had permission, and now I have 70 neighbours and friends in my back garden."

A ten-year-old Chinese boy ran away from home because he had too much homework.
Xu Zhiqiang stowed away on a train and ended up thousands of miles away from his home in Cili, claiming he could not cope with the amount of homework he had been given to do during a month-long winter holiday.
The boy lost all hope after his mother found a mistake on one question and got him to copy the correct answer out 100 times.
After copying it 50 times, Xu ran out of his house and jumped on board a train.
He said: "I stayed under the seat and transferred trains as all people did.
Finally I didn’t know where I was." He was found by a policeman the next day and has been returned home safely.

Actor COURTNEY B VANCE dreamed he’d be a father to twins six years before he and his wife ANGELA BASSETT became parents to surrogate babies.
The couple tried to conceive a natural child for seven years, but after a series of miscarriages and failed in vitro fertilisation efforts, they decided to seek the help of a surrogate mum.
And, as soon as THE PREACHER’S WIFE star Vance heard he was to become a dad, he knew his dream of having twins was about to come true.
He says, "I had a dream that we were going to have twins six years prior, so I knew, I held onto that… I didn’t know how it was gonna happen.
"When we saw the first heartbeat on the ultrasound monitor, everyone was like, `Oh, it’s so wonderful.’ He (doctor) kept going around and he said, `What’s this, another heartbeat?’ and Angela screamed." Former BAYWATCH star CARMEN ELECTRA has signed up to star in a sexy magic and variety act with hunky Dutch magician HANS KLOK in Las Vegas.
Electra, 34, will sing and dance in the show, which is set to debut on 12 May (07) at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino.
The star, who was once a musical artist on PRINCE’s record label prior to launching an acting career, will perform five shows a week in a 13-week run.
A source close to Electra confirms the news to American publication Us Weekly, "She will be doing what she loves to do most."

JIM CARREY was thrilled when he fooled the paparazzi during a recent trip to Israel by hiring a body double to impersonate him.
The BRUCE ALMIGHTY star wanted to enjoy the country’s holy sites without media intrusion and developed a plan to trick the paparazzi.
He explains, "I’ve been wanting to go (to Israel) my whole life and I had so much fun there. I never got a picture taken of me the whole time I was there. "We avoided the paparazzi. They can be insane when you’re in these places of worship. I got a local guy who sort of looks like me as a body double, he’s actually a shepherd "I hired him and checked him into the King David hotel where all the celebrities go. The whole nation of press went and hung out outside that hotel for four days waiting for me to go out and see the sites. "So every night on television they were going, ‘Jim Carrey is a boor. LATEST: A Florida judge has signed an order to have the refrigerated remains of ANNA NICOLE SMITH embalmed today (16FEB07).
The procedure will be done under heavy security at the Broward County Medical Examiner’s office in nearby Dania Beach.
Broward Circuit Judge LARRY SEIDLIN said, "We’re beginning to give her peace." Meanwhile, a Florida court is expected to release what attorneys say is the last will and testament of the former Playboy Playmate.
The judge overseeing the dispute over her burial ordered attorneys to file a copy of the will, which has been the subject of intense speculation since Smith’s sudden death eight day ago (08FEB07).
The document is expected to help determine where Smith’s final resting place will be. A battle is currently being waged over her remains by Smith’s lawyer and companion HOWARD K STERN and her estranged mother, VIRGIE ARTHUR.
Stern’s attorneys say Smith wanted to be buried in the Bahamas next to her son DANIEL, who died three days after Smith’s daughter DANNIELYNN, was born, while Arthur wants to take her remains back to her native Texas. A decision about releasing her body for burial is expected next week (BEG19FEB07).

A US man who shot himself in the foot may be charged with possession of a firearm.
Patrick R. Hupf Jr. was cleaning the trigger of his father’s 22 calibre rifle when it fired, hitting him in the right foot.
The 31-year-old’s father said his son forgot to check the gun’s chamber before cleaning it.
Hupf Jr. is a convicted felon, meaning he is not allowed to be in possession of a firearm.
Sheboygan County prosecutors are hoping to charge him, and the wounded man could face a fine of up to $25,000.

A US man faked his own kidnapping to stop his wife discovering he had crashed her new car.
Jorge Alberto Mejia, 35, told police two kidnappers held him at gunpoint in a bar and ordered him to drive them around in his car, so he purposely crashed into a wall to escape.
Police spokeswoman Margo Rohrbacher said: "As far as we can tell, he was alone in the car.
"He eventually confessed he was driving to a casino when he accidentally crashed his wife’s 2007 Ford Focus and was worried about how she would react." Mejia could be charged by police for making the false report, which included detailed descriptions of the kidnappers.

Country music star KEITH URBAN credits his stint in rehab for helping him bond with new wife NICOLE KIDMAN.
The 39-year-old checked into a rehab facility in October (06), just four months after marrying Kidman in their native Australia.
He tells US morning show TODAY, "They say grief makes hearts and closer bonds than joy ever can. We’ve been through a lot, and she’s been extraordinary." Urban says words can’t describe the lessons the couple have learned saying, "I can’t really quantify it, because it’s not a sound bite what we’ve learned.
But, it’s really profound." The singer, who has admitted to a past addiction to cocaine and previously underwent rehab in 1998, says his life had become "unmanageable" and he sought treatment to get back on track.
He adds, "This disease of addiction, you know, it’s nothing to do with contentedness and happiness, because I had all of that. "But I wasn’t doing what I should be doing to maintain the road I was on previously, so it was a big wake-up call to get back on the road."

LATEST: Pop star MICHAEL JACKSON has slammed reports he will appear on hit reality TV show AMERICAN IDOL.
Media reports earlier this week (BEG12FEB07), claimed the star was going to have his own "Idol" theme-week and mentor contestants.

Hollywood actress CAMERON DIAZ has settled for substantial libel damages from an American tabloid today (16FEB07), after the publication falsely claimed she was cheating on then-boyfriend JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE with a married man.
The CHARLIE’S ANGELS star, 34, filed a lawsuit against publishers American Media Incorporated over the offending article which appeared on the National Enquirer website in May 2005, with accompanying photos accusing Diaz of having an affair with MTV producer SHANE NICKERSON - the man behind her adventure TV show TRIPPIN’.
Lawyers for the National Enquirer told London’s High Court today (16FEB07) the publication accepted the allegations were unfounded and "ought never to have been published". They agreed to pay the actress an undisclosed amount, and issued a public apology to Diaz, Timberlake, Nickerson and his wife for any distress their article may have caused.
Diaz previously settled a similar libel claim with British newspaper The Sun in July 2005, after it printed the same story.

ROBBIE WILLIAMS’ latest album RUDEBOX may have been a commercial flop, but he has found a new fan in rapper MOS DEF.
Producer MARK RONSON, who worked with the FEEL singer on the flop album, revealed that while Williams may have upset fans with his new musical direction, he has gained supporters in unexpected places.

British royal QUEEN ELIZABETH II declined the offer of an advance of the DAME HELEN MIRREN-starring movie THE QUEEN - because she only owns a VHS player.
Earlier this week (14FEB07), the film’s producer ANDY HARRIES claimed he had been tipped off by Buckingham Palace sources that the monarch gave his film her approval.
But when Her Majesty was presented with the gift by the head of a television company last year (06), a friend of the Oscar-nominated Mirren, she politely turned it down because she has yet to buy a DVD player.

British director STEPHEN FREARS is to make a film about late outspoken soccer boss BRIAN CLOUGH.
Frears - nominated for a Best Director Oscar for THE QUEEN at this year’s (07) Academy Awards - is looking to bring the story of Clough’s brief but turbulent time as manager of British soccer club Leeds United in 1974 to the big screen.
The movie will be based on the book THE DAMNED UTD by DAVID PEACE and Frears is keen to have The Queen’s MICHAEL SHEEN star as Clough, who died in 2004.
He says, "I’m hoping to make a film about Brian Clough at the end of the year based on a wonderful book I came across.
"The truth is that it hasn’t been written yet. PETER MORGAN (THE QUEEN) is writing it, and with luck we will make it." He adds, "There’s a strong likelihood I’m going to be doing it. I know Michael Sheen is going to play him (Clough) because he looks like him."
