Rock matriarch SHARON OSBOURNE will finally undergo an operation to remove the gastric band which helped her shed weight, according to media reports.
Osbourne, who had the stomach-shrinking device fitted in 1999, was allegedly forced to turn down an appearance on US TV show DANCING WITH THE STARS because of the impending procedure.
A source tells British newspaper The Sun, "Sharon had been told she should have the band taken out a while back. It helped give her a stunning figure but lately she has been in a bit of discomfort with it and doctors told her to have it taken out sooner rather than later."
