HAYSBERT CRIED DAILY WHILE PLAYING MANDELA

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:07 pm

Actor DENNIS HAYSBERT found playing former South African President NELSON MANDELA in GOODBYE BAFANA so traumatic he cried every night during the movie’s shoot.
Haysbert, best known as US President DAVID PALMER in TV hit 24, plays Mandela during the 20-year period the leader spent in jail.
And Haysbert was surprised by how "daunting" and emotional he found filming the movie, which premiered at the Berlin Film Festival yesterday (11FEB07).
He says, "Every night I went home, I would have a glass of wine and just cry.
"The sacrifices he made were profoundly sad to me."
