MIRREN INVITED TO PALACE FOR TEA
Oscar nominee DAME HELEN MIRREN has been invited for tea at Buckingham Palace in London with QUEEN ELIZABETH II.
Mirren has garnered several awards for her portrayal of the British monarch in THE QUEEN, and is nominated for Best Actress at the Academy Awards later this month (FEB07).
Elizabeth II will also meet with The Queen director STEPHEN FREARS and screenwriter PETER MORGAN after the Oscars ceremony.
A royal aide said: "A number of options are being considered." The Queen focuses on the week following the death of DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES, who lost her life in a high-speed car crash in Paris, France in 1997.
