THE MAGIC NUMBERS HIT BACK AT SECOND ALBUM CRITICS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:40 pm

Folk rockers THE MAGIC NUMBERS were devastated when music critics panned their second album THOSE THE BROKES, but they’re confident the LP will be hailed as a classic in a few years time.
The LOVE ME LIKE YOU hitmakers were nominated for the prestigious Mercury Prize for their acclaimed debut album THE MAGIC NUMBERS, but they were shocked by the venom of the British music press when its follow-up was released in October (06).
Guitarist and singer ROMEO STODART admits, "I’m not going to lie. We read a lot of the reviews in the UK and they set me back. I wasn’t expecting that, but you can’t please everyone. It’s out there now, so in five or six years people can discover it anew.
"I think the (second) record is a classic, even better than the first one. I don’t want to seem big-headed, but I don’t think there’s any group out there doing what we’re doing. I get bored of new bands all sounding the same."
