KIDNEY INFECTION PUTS TUNSTALL’S GRAMMY APPEARANCE IN JEOPARDY

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:22 pm

Scottish singer/songwriter K.T. TUNSTALL is battling a kidney infection just days before she is due to fly to LA for the Grammy Awards. Doctors have also told the SUDDENLY I SEE hitmaker that a similar infection she suffered as a child has left her with an under-developed kidney, and the double diagnosis could stop her from attending the awards ceremony on Sunday (11FEB07), where she is nominated in the Best Female Pop Vocal Performance category. She writes on her MySpace page, "I should explain why I’m in bed as it is early on a Friday evening and this is not the natural behaviour of a popstrel.
"I’ve got another bloody kidney infection after a month of booze free, healthy living, fresh air, pudding-eating studio time, drinking lots of water and hideous cranberry juice. Why can’t fake strawberry milk be good for your vitals, eh? "I went for an ultrasound scan and it turns out an infection when I was a kid has left me with a wee kiddy kidney. A kidnette, if you will. So I’m desperately hoping this isn’t the start of a whisky-free existence - that would be bad. But don’t worry, I’m on the mend and meeting with lots of wise old hippies in the next few days to take action."
