Jennifer Hudson still ‘pinches herself’ every day because she can’t believe how how big a star she has become.
Jennifer began her road to superstardom as a losing finalist on TV talent show ‘American Idol’ before going on to win a Golden Globe and receive an Oscar nomination for her performance as Effie White in ‘Dreamgirls’ - and no one is more astounded than she is.
Hudson told Britain’s Guardian newspaper: ‘This is all beyond my wildest dreams. From the moment I got the call telling me I got the part in ‘Dreamgirls’, to the day I walked on set with Beyoncé Knowles, Jamie Foxx, Eddie Murphy, up until this point, I could never have imagined how huge it would become. I literally pinch myself every day.’ Jennifer has also revealed she learnt a lot about being a star and dealing with fame from her ‘Dreamgirls’ co-star Beyoncé.
She said: ‘Beyoncé is a goddess. She is a big influence on me.’
