CAREY: ‘EMINEM IS OBSESSED WITH ME’
R&B singer MARIAH CAREY has hit out at rapper EMINEM for continuing to verbally attack her - over a year after she denied their rumoured romance.
The WE BELONG TOGETHER star was reported to have dated Eminem - born MARSHALL MATHERS III - in 2001, when they collaborated on her CHARM BRACELET album.
Carey has repeatedly denied this rumour, despite the WITHOUT ME hitmaker using personal answerphone messages from the singer in his concerts, all of which feature her begging for her calls to be returned.
Despite this, the 37-year-old insists she is confused as to why Eminem is "obsessed" with her, and doesn’t know why he criticises her on his latest album compilation, THE RE-UP.
She says, "Something is clearly askew with him and I’m not quite sure what it is.
"I just heard something else he recently said about me. I’m curious as to why he’s so obsessed with me." She adds, "I never got an apology letter, by the way. Then, again, I wasn’t exactly searching my mailbox for it!"
