JOHN LENNON’s request to place Hitler on the cover alongside famous faces like BOB DYLAN and MARLON BRANDO was believed to have been vetoed on grounds of taste, but Blake insists Hitler is there - albeit obscured behind the HEY JUDE hitmakers. Blake reveals, "If you look at photographs of the out-takes, you can see the Hitler image in the studio. With the crowd behind there was an element of chance about who you can and cannot see, and we weren’t quite sure who would be covered in the final shot, Hitler was in fact covered up behind the band."

Pop star JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE is to host Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards next month (MAR07) in Los Angeles.
The MY LOVE hitmaker - who is nominated in the Best Male Singer category along with CHRIS BROWN and SEAN PAUL - was chosen to head the show after doing a successful job at the MTV Europe Music Awards in November (02NOV06).
He says, "I’m revving up to have an even bigger blast than usual.
"While honoring kids’ opinions, it taps into the kid in all of us." The Kids’ Choice Awards honour the best in film, TV, music, sports, video games and books, and are voted for by the channel’s young viewers.
The 20th annual awards ceremony takes place on 31 March (07) at the University of California in Los Angeles.

Hollywood actress ANGELINA JOLIE has allegedly vowed to marry boyfriend BRAD PITT, after making a promise to her dying mother.
The MR AND MRS SMITH stars were both at MARCHELINE BERTRAND’s bedside when she lost her seven-year battle with ovarian cancer last week (27JAN07) at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Jolie is reported to have made the pledge hours before her beloved mother’s passing, sparking speculation of a marriage within months.
A source close to the family tells British newspaper the Sunday Express, "Marcheline held Angie’s hand and told her, ‘You marry that man. He’s an angel sent to look after you.’ "Marcheline almost looked on him as a son. She thought the world of him and was constantly nagging Angie to ‘wed that man’." The friend adds, "Brad has never stopped trying to push (Jolie) down the aisle but she’s always resisted, saying that it’s the children who legally bind them together.
"Now she’ll make good on her death bed promise."

LATEST: Pop star KYLIE MINOGUE was reportedly dumped by boyfriend OLIVIER MARTINEZ during a phone call on Friday (02FEB07).
The 41-year-old actor was reportedly spotted with a mystery brunette in Los Angeles just hours after ending his four-year relationship with Minogue - who is currently in Mexico - and the woman allegedly spent the night with him at his hotel. An onlooker tells British newspaper the Sunday Mirror, "You wouldn’t have thought he’d just split with the love of his life. This beautiful woman jumped into this car and they sped off. He looked very comfortable and happy - not remotely upset." The pair issued a statement on Friday (02FEB07) saying, "Olivier Martinez and Kylie Minogue have officially confirmed that they are no longer a couple.

SIR PAUL McCARTNEY’s estranged wife HEATHER MILLS has reportedly been dropped by animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) to safeguard future support from the former BEATLE’s daughter MARY.
Photographer Mary only agreed to work on PETA’s latest campaign after she was assured her stepmother, who is currently embroiled in a bitter divorce battle with the former BEATLE, was no longer involved with the organisation.
Mary took photos of British pop star JAMELIA posing nude with a rabbit in London last week (begs29JAN07), and the photos will be published to coincide with the Brit Awards on 14 February (07).
A PETA spokesperson tells British newspaper the Sunday Telegraph, "We have no plans to work with Heather Mills." Mills, who took part in a successful PETA campaign in 2005 targetting the trade in cat and dog fur across the European Union, was not available for comment as WENN went to press.

British actress SIENNA MILLER has reportedly enjoyed a brief romance with ISAAC FERRY, the youngest son of rocker BRYAN FERRY.

MARTIN SCORSESE chances of winning his first Oscar have been boosted after he landed the Directors Guild of America (DGA) award for THE DEPARTED yesterday (03FEB07).
The 64-year-old beat the directors of BABEL, DREAMGIRLS, LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE and THE QUEEN to win his first DGA award after six previous nominations.
The prestigious prize is regarded as a reliable indicator as to who will win the Best Director Oscar, as the DGA winner has only failed to land the Oscar six times in the award’s 58-year history. Scorsese said, "I didn’t think I’d be standing here tonight. I was just trying to make a good picture. I don’t know (about the Oscar). It’s good to have a nomination."

A man who shot two security guards at a KANYE WEST concert in the UK last year (FEB06) has been sentenced to life imprisonment after being found guilty of attempted murder.
Gunman ABIDAN RAPHAEL, 27, fired six bullets at security guards when he and his girlfriend JOANNE BUSHELL, 22, were discovered after sneaking into the National Exhibition Centre Arena in Birmingham, England, without a ticket on the final date of West’s Touch The Sky Tour.
They had twice attempted to force their way into the auditorium earlier that night, reports AllHipHop.com.
Security worker JOHN TOUGH was shot in face, stomach and foot, while his colleague was shot in the abdomen.
Raphael was convicted of two counts of attempted murder on Friday (02FEB07), in addition to weapons and assault violations.

American singer BILLY HENDERSON died in hospital in Daytona, Florida on Friday (02FEB07) from complications related to diabetes. He was 67.
Henderson found fame in the 1960s and 1970s with his group THE SPINNERS, and scored a series of hits with songs including I’LL BE AROUND, COULD IT BE I’M FALLING IN LOVE and THEN CAME YOU.
Henderson continued to perform with The Spinners until 2004 when he was sacked after suing the group’s business manager.

British pop star WAYNE FONTANA has been charged with arson after allegedly setting fire to a car with a man inside it.
The 61-year-old, real name GLYNN ELLIS, was arrested at his home in Glossop, England after it was claimed he poured petrol onto the bonnet of a car and set alight to it - while a bailiff sat in the vehicle. Ellis has been released on bail, but he faces a maximum of 14 years in prison if he is convicted of arson with intent to endanger life. Fontana, whose band THE MINDBENDERS scored a US number one in 1965 with GAME OF LOVE, pledged to leave Britain after the trial, saying, "I’m selling up and pushing off as soon as I’ve dealt with this. I’ve had enough."

Motown bandleader JOE HUNTER was found dead in his Detroit, Michigan apartment on Friday (02FEB07). He was 79.
Hunter’s son JOE HUNTER JR told The Detroit News the cause of his father’s death is not yet known, but revealed he was diabetic.
The three-time Grammy Award winner was the first artist signed by Motown boss BERRY GORDY and pianist Hunter accompanied SMOKEY ROBINSON and THE MIRACLES in the late 1950s.
In the 1960s, Hunter’s band THE FUNK BROTHERS provided the backing for a host of Motown stars including MARTHA AND THE VANDELLAS and MARVIN GAYE.
When Motown left Detroit in 1972, Hunter slipped into obscurity and was discovered by film-maker ALLAN SLUTSKY playing piano at Detroit hotels.
Slutsky’s 2002 documentary STANDING IN THE SHADOWS OF MOTOWN featured a soundtrack by The Funk Brothers, which won two Grammys in 2003.
In 2004 The Funk Brothers were given a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.

R&B singer MARIAH CAREY has hit out at rapper EMINEM for continuing to verbally attack her - over a year after she denied their rumoured romance.
The WE BELONG TOGETHER star was reported to have dated Eminem - born MARSHALL MATHERS III - in 2001, when they collaborated on her CHARM BRACELET album.
Carey has repeatedly denied this rumour, despite the WITHOUT ME hitmaker using personal answerphone messages from the singer in his concerts, all of which feature her begging for her calls to be returned.
Despite this, the 37-year-old insists she is confused as to why Eminem is "obsessed" with her, and doesn’t know why he criticises her on his latest album compilation, THE RE-UP.
She says, "Something is clearly askew with him and I’m not quite sure what it is.
"I just heard something else he recently said about me. I’m curious as to why he’s so obsessed with me." She adds, "I never got an apology letter, by the way. Then, again, I wasn’t exactly searching my mailbox for it!"
