Comedian DAVID SPADE has confirmed he is no longer dating former MELROSE PLACE star HEATHER LOCKLEAR.
The pair were regularly seen together after Locklear filed for divorce from BON JOVI guitarist RICHIE SAMBORA last year (06).
They were spotted at the final concert of U2’s Vertigo tour in Honolulu, Hawaii in December (06), but Spade says they have gone their separate ways.
The JUST SHOOT ME star says he understands why people might think the couple were mis-matched telling talk show host ELLEN DEGENERES, "She’s got a great vibe about her.
"I don’t have to tell you why I like her, I think everyone is confused the other way!"

Oscar-winning director ROMAN POLANSKI is set to bring ROBERT HARRIS’ bestseller POMPEII to the big screen.
The dramatic thriller is set against the backdrop of Mt Vesuvius just before and during its eruption.
The movie’s budget is projected to be in the $130 million range (GBP67 million), making it Polanski’s most expensive film by a wide margin.
Harris will be writing the script himself and shooting will begin in Italy this summer (07).
The movie features a young engineer who has to repair an enormous aqueduct whose destruction threatens the Roman Empire. The film takes place over three days and the final act features the volcanic eruption and destruction of the aqueduct, which serves hundreds of thousands of people.
Polanski explains, "I got seduced by the writing. In general terms, when someone tells me to make a movie set in ancient times, I say it’s not my cup of tea. But I liked that it was a thriller." THE PIANIST director adds, "It will be very dependent on visual effects. It’s always challenging to do something a little different, but that’s what keeps me going."

LATEST: ANNE HECHE’s husband, COLEY LAFFOON, has filed for divorce in Los Angeles after five years of marriage.
Laffoon, 33, is seeking joint custody of the couple’s four-year-old son, HOMER, as well as spousal support from Heche.
Earlier this month (JAN07), the star’s representative confirmed the couple had split. Sources tell American publication People the reason for the breakup was Heche’s budding relationship with her MEN IN TREES co-star JAMES TUPPER, who split from his wife late last year (06).
Although representatives for Heche and Tupper have not publicly commented on their romance, the couple were spotted getting cosy on a 13 January (07) flight from Vancouver, Canada to Los Angeles.
According to an eyewitness Heche spent part of the flight on Tupper’s lap, whispering and cuddling. The source adds, "They looked like high school kids in love." Heche and Laffoon wed in 2001 after meeting when he filmed a documentary on her then-partner ELLEN DEGENERES.

LATEST: The California Highway Patrol (CHP) handed over NICOLE RICHIE’s DUI case to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office Wednesday (31JAN07).
The 25-year-old was charged with driving under the influence (DUI) on 11 December (06), after being arrested for driving the wrong way on a Los Angeles freeway.
CHP officials wouldn’t publicly comment on the findings of their investigation or their recommendations to prosecutors.
At the time of her arrest, Richie admitted to police she had taken the prescription painkiller Vicodin and smoked marijuana.
A tentative hearing has been scheduled for 7 February (07), should charges be filed against the star.
Officials from the District Attorney’s office confirmed to E! News they had received the report and that it is under review.

FARRAH FAWCETT received the ultimate 60th birthday present yesterday (02FEB07) - her doctor’s have declared she is now cancer-free.
The former CHARLIE’S ANGELS actress first revealed she was suffering from anal cancer in October (06).
DR GARY GITNICK, Fawcett’s lead physician at the University of California, Los Angeles, said the actress "has had a full and complete response to treatment. Her prognosis is excellent." Fawcett said, "This is an extraordinarily happy day for me and my family. I hope that my news might offer some level of inspiration to others who unfortunately must continue to fight the disease." The star’s spokesman, MIKE PINGEL, said the actress planned to celebrate her birthday with family and friends and hopes to get back to work "in the next month or two."

BILLY JOEL has mixed emotions about performing the US National Anthem before this weekend’s (04FEB07) Super Bowl - because it’s "a difficult song." The PIANO MAN will become the first performer to sing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl twice when he takes to the field in Miami, Florida before the Chicago Bears and Indianapolis Colts compete for the American football championship.
But he admits he’s not a fan of the song he’ll be singing before the big game.
He says, "It’s a difficult song, it’s not the greatest song ever written and… the lyrics are written in the early 19th century vernacular, so it’s difficult for people to understand the words."

Boy-band impresario LOU PEARLMAN is being sued for more than $130 million (GBP67 million) by creditors and investors for failing to pay his bills.
Pearlman, who created such groups as the BACKSTREET BOYS, ‘N SYNC and US-5, has been the subject of several recent lawsuits.
The latest case, filed Thursday (01FEB07) in Orlando, Florida Circuit Court by Bank of America, alleges Pearlman defaulted on business and personal loans worth more than $17 million (GBP9 million).
A week earlier, the same bank filed a mortgage-foreclosure suit seeking more than $25 million (GBP13 million).
According to the Orlando Sentinel newspaper, a judge recently ordered Pearlman to pay $33 million (GBP17 million) on previous lawsuits against him.
Pearlman has blamed the spate of court cases on people trying to cash in on his success saying, "I know a lot of people come at me, as a deep-pockets theory. "The more success you get, the more lawsuits, unfortunately."

MANDY MOORE has taken a swipe at boyfriend DJ AM’s former fiancee NICOLE RICHIE for her stick-thin appearance.
The-22-year-old singer suffered from depression after splitting from SCRUBS star ZACH BRAFF in November (06), but has recently been photographed kissing ADAM "DJ AM" GOLDSTEIN.
Moore tells Seventeen magazine, "Oh, God! I tell you what, in this industry it’s my job to look a certain way or what not and it’s weird for men too.

I’m not like a toothpick, and I never will be. I’m just a regular-looking person and that’s okay.

Morissette, 32, and Reynolds, 30, had previously split in June (06), but reconciled within a few weeks. LATEST: DAVID LEE ROTH is officially returning as the front man for VAN HALEN and will tour with the band this summer (07).
Roth will join founding band members EDDIE and ALEX VAN HALEN, as well as Eddie’s teenage son WOLFGANG, who plays bass.
Eddie confirms the band’s plans to entertainment website TMZ.com saying, "It feels like a whole new beginning to be back with Dave and to be playing with my brother and my son.
"We look forward to going on tour." Roth, an original member of Van Halen, quit the group in 1985. He rejoined the band briefly in 1996, only to quit again a few months later. Roth hasn’t performed live with the group since 1984.
According to the band’s representative, JANE LISZEWSKI, the tour will cover most major US cities, including Los Angeles and New York.
