HECHE’S HUSBAND FILES FOR DIVORCE
LATEST: ANNE HECHE’s husband, COLEY LAFFOON, has filed for divorce in Los Angeles after five years of marriage.
Laffoon, 33, is seeking joint custody of the couple’s four-year-old son, HOMER, as well as spousal support from Heche.
Earlier this month (JAN07), the star’s representative confirmed the couple had split. Sources tell American publication People the reason for the breakup was Heche’s budding relationship with her MEN IN TREES co-star JAMES TUPPER, who split from his wife late last year (06).
Although representatives for Heche and Tupper have not publicly commented on their romance, the couple were spotted getting cosy on a 13 January (07) flight from Vancouver, Canada to Los Angeles.
According to an eyewitness Heche spent part of the flight on Tupper’s lap, whispering and cuddling. The source adds, "They looked like high school kids in love." Heche and Laffoon wed in 2001 after meeting when he filmed a documentary on her then-partner ELLEN DEGENERES.
