Matt Damon has branded his Bourne movies meaningless.

The 36-year-old actor - who stars in ‘The Bourne Ultimatum’, the third film in the multi-million dollar grossing trilogy based on Robert Ludlum’s books - says the films have no plot.
Damon told Empire magazine: ‘I deliver so many ultimatums throughout these movies but what is the ultimatum? ‘Then again we didn’t know what my identity was the first time. And what was supreme about me the last time? ‘We basically commandeered Mr Ludlum’s titles and it’s starting to show!’ The Oscar-winning star - who played amnesiac Jason Bourne in ‘The Bourne Identity’ and ‘The Bourne Supremacy’ - also revealed they are in danger of repeating themselves in the third film.
He said: ‘The film has to have a certain number elements in it that people liked from the other movies - but you don’t want to repeat yourself.
‘You want to do a car chase because the car chase in the last one was so great, but you can’t do the same car chase because everyone goes, ‘They’re selling me the same thing again!’ ‘That’s one of our concerns.’ Director Paul Greengrass said: ‘Don’t ask me what the ultimatum is. I don’t know the answer.
‘I’m sure we’ll get an Ultimatum in there somewhere.’
