CATE BLANCHETT’s teenage co-star in new movie NOTES ON A SCANDAL insists he would have jumped at the chance to sleep with her if put in the same position as his schoolboy character.
In the movie, Blanchett’s teacher character seduces a male pupil, played by 18-year-old ANDREW SIMPSON.
And Simpson has no doubt his character did the right thing by seizing the opportunity presented to him.
He says, "I think it’s true that if I’d been in his situation and I had a teacher who looked as good as Cate Blanchett then I would have had an affair.
"Although I don’t think my mum’s going to approve of me saying that."
