JACKMAN’S VIVA LAUGHLIN! GETS TV GO-AHEAD
LATEST: Aussie movie star HUGH JACKMAN’s remake of a popular British TV series has been given the go-ahead in America.
The X-MEN star will executive produce and appear in VIVA LAUGHLIN! when it hits TV screens later this year (07).
The programme will be inspired by BBC hit series VIVA BLACKPOOL! Jackman’s version will concentrate on the trials and tribulations a small-time Nevada casino owner, who dreams of opening up "a snazzy resort" on the Las Vegas Strip.
Jackman will guest star in the pilot, which will be directed by THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS moviemaker GABRIELE MUCCINO.
