Ellen DeGeneres feels like Tom Cruise when she goes out with her tall girlfriend Portia de Rossi.
Ellen is hosting this year’s Oscars so won’t be walking down the red carpet with her actress lover, but is pleased as she feels ridiculously short standing next to her.
Ellen, 49, told gay magazine The Advocate: "When we’re together and she’s in her heels, I always feel like Tom Cruise next to Nicole Kidman." The comedienne, who has been in a relationship with 33-year-old Portia for two years, says her love for the former ‘Ally McBeal’ star makes her feel complete.
She said: "I could say the same thing I’ve said in every relationship, ‘I’m happy.’ But there’s happiness and there’s love, and then there’s completion.
"It doesn’t take away from any of the relationships that I’ve had, because I’ve had amazing relationships. But I feel like I found my perfect fit.
"She’s taught me lessons about myself, and I feel like I’ve taught her.
"We’ve both changed and grown, and we just feel like, ‘Oh, OK, this is completion.’ " Portia de Rossi turns 34 on Wednesday (31.01.07)
