CARLISLE HAPPY WITHOUT CHART TOPPING SUCCESS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:43 pm

BELINDA CARLISLE is happy her chart-topping fame has ended, because she doesn’t miss the huge pressures that go hand-in-hand with being a pop sensation.
The former GOGOS singer, 48, was a huge star in the 1980s but struggled to cope with the massive expectations placed on her.
She says, "It was great for then but there were a lot of things about it that I didn’t enjoy.
"Like having to fit into an image, and the pressure of having to repeat the same success. And listening to the radio waiting for your chart position. I hated that." The HEAVEN IS A PLACE ON EARTH hitmaker now revels in confounding peoples expectations, and will launch her solo comeback with the release of an album of French pop standards next month (FEB07).
