GUJARAT RIOTS MOVIE SHUNNED BY LOCAL CINEMAS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:40 pm

LATEST: Cinemas in the Indian state of Gujarat are refusing to screen a new Bollywood movie based on the true story of a 13-year-old boy who disappeared during violent riots in the state in 2002.
PARZANIA’s director RAHUL DHOLAKIA is baffled by the cold shoulder his film has received, because one of its aims is to find ADHAR MODY, the missing boy.
And the boy’s father, DARA, says he’s devastated the film has been shunned, insisting his hopes of finding his missing son have now been "shattered".
BABU BAJRANGI of religious group Bajrang Dal vows, "We will not allow the movie to be screened for public till it is shown to us." Dara says, "We are very sad that this movie is not being screened in Gujarat.
We had hoped that by this movie we will be able to find my child who has been missing since 2002 riots. But when the movie is not being screened in Gujarat our hopes are shattered." The Gujarat riots of 2002 erupted when 59 Hindus died in a fire, widely thought to have been started by Muslim groups.
