BOLLYWOOD ACTRESS WEATHERS RACISM STORM TO HOST REALITY SHOW
The Bollywood actress at the centre of a racism row on British reality TV show CELEBRITY BIG BROTHER has signed up to present a UK television programme - even though she has yet to leave the show’s sealed compound.
SHILPA SHETTY’s agent has been inundated with offers, and has agreed for the beauty to front CRICKET STAR, a televised search for a talented cricketer.
Show creator SIMON HUGHES says, "The series has just started in India and we’re hoping to bring it to Britain in the summer.
"Bollywood actress SHWETA SALVE is presenting the Indian version, so who better than Shilpa for the British one?" Celebrity Big Brother created controversy in both Britain and India over allegations Shetty has been subjected to a torrent of racial abuse since entering the competition earlier this month (JAN07).
