Uma Thurman is set to front a £20 million advertisement campaign for Virgin Media.
The ‘Pulp Fiction’ actress is the face of a marketing campaign, which will air next month, announcing to customers that digital TV, telephone and internet service provider NTL has been re-branded as Virgin Media.
NTL merged with Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Mobile company last year in a £961 million deal.
James Kydd, managing director of Virgin Media marketing, said: "We are thrilled that Uma will be helping us launch the most exciting and the biggest Virgin branded company in the world." The merger sees Virgin Media become the UK’s first "quadruple play" media company - combining TV, fixed line telephone, broadband internet and mobile phones.
Uma, 36, is not the first big name star to front a Virgin campaign.
Pamela Anderson and Kate Moss have both featured in advertisements for Virgin Mobile.
