DJ DRAMA AND PARTNER IN CUSTODY
Mixtape king DJ DRAMA and his business partner DON CANNON have been arrested by police as part of an operation targetting bootlegged music.
Cops stormed the pair’s Aphilliate Music Group premises in Atlanta, Georgia yesterday (16JAN07), reportedly seizing 50,000 mixtapes and hauling another 17 employees into custody.
The duo are currently being held at Atlanta’s Fulton County Jail with charges still pending, according to MTV.
Drama - real name TYREE SIMMONS - has worked with hip-hop stars T.I., YOUNG JEEZY, STYLES P, LIL JON, BUSTA RHYMES, LIL WAYNE and NELLY in recent years.
