MIRREN DISMISSES POSH IMAGE
DAME HELEN MIRREN has played Queens ELIZABETH I and ELIZABETH II on screen, but insists she doesn’t have a royal air about her.
The 61-year-old won Golden Globe Awards on Monday night (15JAN07) for her performances in ELIZABETH I and THE QUEEN, but claims she is down to earth despite her aristocratic title. She explains, "I’m an Essex girl. You know how you know if an Essex girl has an orgasm? She drops her fries."
