A source close to the actress says, "She’s interested in befriending normal moms so she can do things with the kids." Construction is set to start this month (JAN07) on the 20 environment-friendly homes Pitt jointly commissioned with Global Green USA. The couple also hope to raise awareness for the region, which was devastated by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

HAYEK: ‘I’M LOOKING FOR A MAN WITH BALLS’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:46 pm

Actress SALMA HAYEK has appealed for "a man that has more balls than me" to whisk her off her feet.

Although she’d love to be in a relationship again, she refuses to compromise on her ideal man.
She says, "What confuses and scares me most about men is the way they are so weak. Well, most of them. That’s why they pretend to be detached and macho because they are very weak and fragile underneath. They structure their lives so they don’t have to deal with their emotions and feelings. That scares me.
"My mother always says, ‘When are you going to get married?’ And I say, ‘When I find a man that has more balls than I do!"

HAYEK DEFENDS UGLY BETTY

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:43 pm

SALMA HAYEK has leaped to the defence of her new show UGLY BETTY, insisting it challenges traditional notions of beauty rather than enforces them.
The sexy screen star has come under a barrage of attack from critics who fear the programme, about a frumpy fashion assistant, is placing renewed pressure on girls to look good.
But Hayek maintains the show’s title and content are meant to be an ironic take on conventional views.
She says, "The title has a lot to do with the tone of the show - it’s sarcastic. I don’t think BETTY is really ugly, but what do we call ugly now? "Some people think that anybody who is not super-skinny and really tall is ugly. Not me. I personally have seen a lot of really skinny, tall models that are ugly and need to eat a little more to look healthy.
"So the title is actually sarcastic, we’re making fun of it - we’re not really calling her ugly, we’re making fun of the people that would think she’s ugly. Personally, I think she’s beautiful."
