MADONNA: ‘I CHANGED MALAWIAN LAW’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:55 pm

MADONNA has confessed she had to "create" news laws to allow her and husband GUY RITCHIE to gain custody of baby DAVID BANDA last year (06).
The superstar dismisses fellow adoptive mother ANGELINA JOLIE’s claims she was wrong to adopt from a country without clearly defined adoption laws - and urges more people to adopt from countries like Malawi, where there are huge numbers of orphans but no legal framework to find them adoptive parents. However, the 48-year-old admits a social worker warned her of the hazards of adopting from Malawi, saying, "She didn’t say don’t do it, but she just said expect challenges, and, boy, did we get them. "We were basically creating the laws as we went. There’s over a million orphans in Malawi, and in my opinion the laws need to change because these children need to be rescued."
